Suggested Lived Experiences

I lived an active and good life when my mother got dementia. Her condition worsened gradually, and slowly it took a larger part of my life, because it demanded a lot of my attention to follow up everything. This made it more difficult to take care of myself and those around me, and I felt dispair, powerless and at times very tired of it all.

Hear how I used my previous expeirnce from a peer support group in my new situation. The group helped me bring more openness back into my life. The jounery was heavy for me, but when we siblings got more aware of sharing the burden as caretakers I found space to take betetr care of myself.
