The Power of Work

What does work mean to you? A sense of purpose, belonging, value, or your community with good colleagues? Is it income to build a life, security, and bring food to the table, or is work a place where you feel worthy? Research shows that work is medicine, especially for those who feel the choice of work had been taken away from them. This short documentary shows this challenge through the eyes of people who have utilized work inclusion as a tool to reunite with work and themselves. Life happens to us all and to some of us, it takes away our natural ability to work. No matter if it is our physical or mental health, an accident, disabilities, or social constructs that hinder us to take part in work, the absence of a choice in the matter is difficult to bear. Hear how John Edvart, Munira, Adrian, Carina, Stig, Tomasz, Nayra, Sindre, Rikke, Elisabeth, and Joachim found different ways to overcome their challenges united through work-inclusion as a tool in the process. Learn from their journeys and dive into the power of work and our ability to utilize it as a sense of value to our lives. This video is made thanks to the partnership with Kopano - A umbrella organization for work-inclusion companies in Norway working to support people in their journey to enter the job market. The Human Aspect interviewed people that had gone through this path together with the Kopano companies.
