The sadness consumed me in my teens to the point where I attempted suicide several times. Growing up, I was raised by my close relatives, and I felt discriminated against and bullied. She criticized everything I did, and I ended up internalizing her words to become my own bully, leading to feelings of being unworthy, stupid, and unlovable. In a household where emotions were not expressed, my challenges came with extreme loneliness, and eventually, I saw no reason to live. Throwing me into a sensation of being a living dead.

See how a breakdown allowed me to open up slightly to a doctor who recommended me to seek mental health support. After some convincing, I was allowed to start therapy that validated my contested reality. Learn how medical support combined with indulging in educating myself allowed me to move beyond my depression and anxiety control over me. My experiences fighting for my mental health motivated me to share my story and start spreading awareness to help others. I ended up writing a book about my life that brought purpose to my suffering.
