Freedom, Work, Depression

Growing up in our impoverished community prison seemed inevitable for many of us. In such a harsh environment where losing someone to crime was normal, I closed down my emotional life. Seeing people with two jobs still struggling tempted me to seek other avenues to make money. Avenues that got me imprisoned. Coming out of prison, I was met with rejection marked as an ex-con. This threw me into a deep sense of hopelessness and self-doubt.

See how I sought help to face my inner traumas and how this helped me to keep trying new avenues to rebuild after prison. I was inspired to open up about my journey and dare to share my vulnerability. Learn how being open and writing a book helped me create new business opportunities. This allowed me to rebuild my self-worth and reconnect with my inner strength. My journey motivated me to become a mental health advocate to help inspire others.
