Freedom, Loneliness

In the heart of my activism I felt left alone with a death threat hanging over me. Growing up in Iran as a girl I felt disempowered and without opportunities to live free. As the discrimination reveiled itself in every aspect of society around me, my frustration and hunger to fight back grew. Along with it rose the governments eager to silence me and my work.

See how I used my frustration towards the discriminatory society to fuel my motivation to change it. Learn how my passion for journalism empowered me and became my tool to nurture change. Along the way I found support in a community of other activists and through this process I started taking better care of my own physical and emotional well-being.
