Our peaceful lives were ripped away from us when our son got cancer, and my job as a nurse took over my entire life. I focused on being the caretaker and suppressed my own emotions to the point where I could not access them. When our son died I tried to carry on until my body and heart completely shut down.

See how I reached out for help and found peer support groups of other parents that had lost their children. Hear how this helped me to feel safe enough to let my grief and feelings back into my heart.
