Depression, Loneliness

Growing up, physical abuse was a regular method used by my parents to raise me. As a result, the constant fear made me feel different from the other kids at school. Despite trying to impress my peers by goofing around, I was heavily bullied. My mum found a new man and even more drinks were consumed in our household. It got to the point where I witnessed several severe violent episodes towards my mum.

Hear how I used alcohol as an escape once I moved out, but eventually began a journey to face my traumas. Learn how I moved to a remote area to build a snowboard park and how spending my time in nature allowed me to cry and mourn my past. See how a peer support organization helped me start taking the steps I needed to process my traumas and move forward to help others.
