I grew up in the last years of Apartheid and the following years of integration, where we didn’t feel wanted when we started mixing with whites. I was raised as an empowered woman, but I was constantly faced with racism and microaggression, including having my body violated by a white man.

See how I never let it break me, and how I used performance art to express my frustrating emotions. Learn how I started using my story and my voice to raise awareness and help empower others. The challenge of being a black woman is constant and not something to overcome, but I master it well.
