I had neglected my own needs for so long that I think I felt I deserved my abusive relationship. Growing up I had to set aside my own needs and emotions to tend to my sick mother, and care for my siblings. I pushed on in the hamster wheel until I had an accident at work that sidelined me and my own suppressed emotions finally caught up with me. At this point I found myself constrained in an abusive relationship that deprived me of any value, to the point where I felt completely worthless and without hope.

See how my accident helped me realize that I couldn’t carry on suppressing my own needs to please others. I delved deeper into my own story and realized where it all started for me. Learn how this helped me to muster strength to break out of my abusive relationship and start rebuilding my own self-worth. This is where the unique support from a work inclusion company helped me rediscover myself and start on a journey to integrate my turbulent experiences as an assent in my new career.
