Freedom, Loneliness, Work

When I was young, my father was killed fighting for freedom. Only a few years before, my family and I fled Turkey to seek safety. But on his return to Turkey, he was killed for his stance, and the work he did. This left our family without a primary income, which added to my feeling of being different in my new home. I felt extra lonely in my effort not to burden my family further since all of us were going through the same.

See how I came to terms with my grief and how learning to be more vulnerable helped me heal. Learn how I explored my father's story and our history to engage in his fight for freedom and how this helped me find my inner strength to create the person I want to be.
