I spent most of my childhood in and out of the hospital and in a wheelchair living life on the sidelines. I felt I was constantly on the outside looking in, and this took a heavy toll on my self-worth. I was born with spina bifida that slowly progressed until I had to amputate one of my legs. This pushed me into a heavy period of denial and loneliness and 7 years later I was forced to amputate my second leg.
See how I was able to get back on my feet and how I learned to accept my new identity. Learn how I opened up and shared my suppressed feelings to be able to build a stronger sense of self-worth and live the life I’d always wanted.
