Similar Lived Experiences

I experienced a deep violation of my boundaries by someone I trusted, leaving me feeling sexually assaulted and used. This took away my sense of safety, and I did not feel I could talk about it because of his standing among my peers. While carrying this in silence, the burden grew, and it took a massive toll on my self-worth to the point where I felt I had to escape into drugs. The drugs gave me a short-term relief, but the more I tried to escape, the deeper I felt I fell into the darkness. I started exploring other ways of self-harm and ended up being hospitalized for an overdose.

See how I dared to open up to my psychologist about my inner darkness and experiences, but also my desire to end it all. I was admitted to an institution where I felt I got better support and help, which allowed me to dig into the core of my trauma. Learn how this helped me rebuild my self-worth and belief to finally take hold of my addiction and self-harm. With my new sense of self, I managed to start building the life I wanted for myself, step by step.
