After years of self-harm without removing the pain, suicidal thoughts took over my heart and mind. In my childhood, I experienced abuse, and I felt everyone could see that I was an abused child. When no one seemed to do anything about it, my loneliness and self-hate grew, and to cope with my own truth, I deeply repressed it. In my late teens, my past was triggered, and It overwhelmed me with suppressed emotions to the point where I did not see any hope in life.

See how meeting a professional who held space for me and my thoughts allowed me to fully open up about my childhood abuse. I learned how to place my suicidal thoughts in a box, where I could keep them while I processed the guilt, shame, and self-hate that fueled them. Learn how I realized I had to be patient with my healing and hear how using my experiences to help others allowed me to build a new identity. An identity I could be comfortable in and proud of going forward.
