I don’t remember being a child as our impoverished circumstances never allowed it. I grew up with family members while my mother provided for the family. After moving to my mother in my early teens, I suddenly lost her to illness and was left with the role I had to provide as the big sister. There was no space for the sadness and emptiness I felt after my loss; my only outlet was dance. My closest struggled to support it as a career choice, so I decided to move out and live in the streets to pursue my dreams. See how I found a dance crew of boys I moved in with and how I fought to become a part of their crew. I continued to work on my skills and sought all opportunities we could find on the streets.
