I felt men saw it as their right to do what they wanted to me, and no matter what they did, it was my fault. Growing up in a society where girls and women were considered secondary citizens to men, I constantly questioned the unfair norms and traditions. Eventually, my environment made me feel dehumanized, and my frustrations grew to the point where I felt I had to rebel or I would lose myself completely.

See how I managed to move beyond the socially controlled system by utilizing my academic ambitions. I pushed my boundaries step by step to challenge my family to support my journey. Learn how I again faced disempowered as a refugee in Europe and how I found support through an NGO to break through again. I brought my experiences with me and started to speak out for women across the world to empower them to excel.
