Losing one of the girls to the consequences of the inhumanity they had faced devastated me. After losing my husband in a tragic accident, I delved into my business career while trying to raise my kids. One day I noticed children working the streets as sex workers and I couldn’t let it go. I took them in and slowly made it my life purpose to create a safe home for them, from which they could get opportunities to mold their own future. Taking on such a task in South Africa took a massive toll on me and new challenges kept coming from all angles.

See how I slowly learned to open up and let others support me through losing people close to me. I found all the motivation in the world in the purpose of my work and all the children, but allowing others to support me and our cause gave me the space to continue my full strength.
