My life changed when I was diagnosed as a single mother with cancer. The hardest part was not fighting the cancer itself, but the expectations that once I was cancer free I should move on and be like before. The loneliness in trying to move on while maintaining a brave face drained me of my motivation to live.

See how I realized that I had to find understanding and a place to feel normal again. Hear how my peer support group allowed me to release my repressed feelings, but also how it challenged my perspectives and gave me new hope. This safe space allowed me to find energy in the beautiful things in my life again and focus on creating new valuable moments.
