I grew up in very challenging contexts in the poor area of Freetown and my chances to succeed were limited. Excelling academically, I ended up in a good school, but I could not afford more than one meal a day and no clothes, and I was bullied for it.

I failed to cover my fees and had to start working for a candle factory, and I started to lose motivation in life. I continued to study, and after one year, I returned, and this time with the energy and motivation to finish my law degree.
